The Omron V740 Mono-Static RFID Reader is an integral part of Omron's 740 series. This RFID reader is perfect for corporate developers as well as system integrators. This RFID reader combines the transmitter and receiver to allow for a connection of up to four antennas.

With four antenna ports, the Omron V740 Mono-Static RFID Reader is compliant with EPC Class 1 and is upgradeable to EPC Gen2 standards and allows for a maximum of four antennas to be connected -- twice that of a bi-static reader.

Previous mono-static RFID readers were instable because tranmission signals would flow into the reception signal. Omron has developed technology to prevent this from occuring, allowing production of a low-cost RFID system demanded by end users.

High speed data processing on the Omron V740 RFID Mono-Static RFID Reader is achieved by an Intel network processor and the PC-like function of the Linux operating system. These allow application software to run smoothly on this RFID reader.
